What is the project?
This project will ensure that the profile of Liverpool and Merseyside as a whole is maintained, and that key visitors including day visitors are attracted to future events. This will maintain the lasting legacy from the hugely successful Capital of Culture year and continue to grow the visitor economy.

The project is looking to increase visitor spending in Merseyside by maintaining the momentum created during Liverpool’s Capital of Culture. There is a particular focus on major events in Liverpool in order to meet the objectives of the project. Some funding will be used to promote and market these events.

What is its purpose?
To support the continued growth of the Merseyside economy through the expansion of the visitor economy.
