What is the project?
This project will:
improve bus stops;
create new and upgrade existing bus lanes;
upgrade traffic signals to enhance bus movements; and
upgrade pedestrian crossings.
The project aims to reduce the variability of bus journey times, making it easier for the local community to access public transport and ensure that Liverpool’s bus service provides a real alternative to car use.
What is its purpose?
To upgrade a significant bus corridor connecting Liverpool city centre with Kensington, Old Swan, Dovecot, Page Moss, Huyton, Prescot, Whiston, Rainhill, Widnes and St Helens to improve access into the city centre.
How much funding has it received from ERDF?
£1.4 million.
