What is the project?
The project will specifically target support at SMEs who are in the energy and environmental sector or who are diversifying into this sector.
As such this project will directly contribute to the objective of moving the region to a low carbon economy as set out in the Regional Economic Strategy and detailed in the Climate Change Action Plan for England’s Northwest 2007–09.
Awards of between £20,000 and £350,000 will be available at a 35% intervention rate.

To stimulate and support regional SMEs to invest in carbon reduction technologies through the provision of grant funding.
