What is the project?
This project will directly contribute to the objective of moving the region to a low carbon economy.
The support will be provided as a package alongside Selective Finance Investment in England, which is likely to be known as Grant for Business Investment. It will be aligned under the Government’s Solution for Business initiative.
The project will have a three-fold effect: 1) to encourage investment in Carbon Reduction technologies; 2) to contribute to tackling market failure in accessing business finance in the region; and 3) contribute to reducing future carbon dioxide emissions.
What is its purpose?
To stimulate and support regional SMEs to invest in carbon reducing technologies through the provision of grant funding, which will lead to reduced future carbon dioxide emissions.
How much funding has it received from ERDF?
£2.2 million.
How much funding has it received from other funding partners?
£2.2 million from all partners including the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA).
