This project will see the development of a former colliery site in Haydock and the first phase development of a new office-based business park on an adjacent brownfield site.
Business Start Up Phase II follows on directly from the previous Northwest Business Start Up provision, which ended in March 2009.

Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and Museum (‘Catalyst’) is an award-winning specialist science education and visitor centre run by an independent regional charitable trust.
To develop a centre for biopharmaceuticals that will enforce the Northwest’s reputation as the ‘go to’ location for biopharmaceuticals across the UK and globally, as well as providing a facility for advanced biopharmaceutical methods to be developed.
The Chapel Street Project is a key element of the Salford Central area, which is one of the five priority regeneration programmes identified in the Central Salford Urban Regeneration Company’s Regeneration Framework and in its annual Business Plan.
This is a partnership project led by Cheshire and Warrington Economic Alliance in their capacity as sub-regional economic development partnership for Cheshire & Warrington. The project has been designed to address barriers that SME’s in the sub-region face surrounding recruitment.
The Innovation Economy Centre is a business facility focused on making a significant impact on business productivity and wider economic benefits throughout the region. The Centre will encourage a synergy between businesses, academics and existing business support agencies.
