Open Call: AA 4-2 Project Ideas
We are currently inviting project ideas that fit with the rationale of AA4-2.
Background:
The creation of employment opportunities through this Action Area must have a focal point of assisting and working with the employer, as opposed to assisting and working with the individual, which would be deemed as ESF “type” activity.
We are looking for innovative project ideas that will deliver these objectives.
Activities within this Action Area should be very closely integrated with interventions funded through AA 4-3 and AA 3-2 and can/should be developed as an integrated package, where appropriate.
Ineligible activities:
- Non SME activity including Public Sector
- We are also unable to work with those sectors identified in chapter 11 of the eligibility rules. (Please note that in Action Area 4.2 Retail and Leisure are now eligible sectors)
- Activity that ESF currently funds (or could fund); this includes training, job brokerage and any other activities that focus on the needs of an individual
Timeline:
- 19 August 2009: Deadline for Project Ideas
- 15 September 2009: All submissions will receive feedback
Applicants will be expected to:
- Include details of eligible match funding contributions that have been secured
- Check that your project idea is eligible for ERDF support by contacting Nicola Woods or your local Sub-Regional Partnership (details contained within the Project Ideas Form)
Contractual arrangements:
Any successful project ideas will be incorporated into existing sub-regional contracts, with the SRP acting as the accountable body. We would expect linkages to be demonstrated throughout proposals to both existing mainstream and sub-regional provision/activity detailing the fit with sub-regional action plans.
To discuss your project idea further, please email Nicola Woods.
